Job Description

A federal client seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Specialist to provide comprehensive, multi‑disciplinary security support to a dynamic Air Force program environment at Hanscom AFB. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, responsive, and fluent across all major security domains, ensuring that personnel, information, facilities, and operations remain fully protected in accordance with Air Force and DoD security requirements.

Key Responsibilities The Security Specialist will perform analytical, planning, advisory, operational, and evaluative work focused on developing and implementing security policies, procedures, standards, training, and protective methodologies. Primary duties include:

  • Delivering multi‑disciplinary security support across information security, personnel security, operations security, industrial security, communications security, acquisition security, physical security, general security, and anti‑terrorism/force protection.
  • Identifying vulnerabilities and implementing safeguards to protect personnel, property, facilities, information systems, and mission‑critical operations.
  • Preventing unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss of sensitive information or assets.
  • Providing subject‑matter expertise to program leadership, offering informed recommendations on security posture, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Assisting with the development and execution of security plans, procedures, and training programs.
  • Responding effectively to dynamic or emergent security situations with sound judgment and timely action.
  • Ensuring security compliance with DoD, USAF, and program‑specific requirements.

Payrate: 45-55/hr

Skills and Requirements

-Experience supporting DoD programs, preferably within an acquisition environment.

  • Demonstrated expertise across multiple security disciplines (personnel, property, facilities, information systems and operations)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and advisory skills.
  • Active Secret security clearance
