Operations - Management

NPK International inc. Job Summary:

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading all operational, safety, financial, compliance, and personnel functions for an assigned site location. This role oversees field operations, administrative staff, and crews to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable execution of work while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee all site operations, including field personnel, administrative staff, and operational activities.

  • Maintain accountability for site performance, including profitability, inventory management, operational planning, execution, safety, and personnel management.

  • Lead workforce planning efforts, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, employee development, and succession planning.

  • Partner with the HSE team to evaluate, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Manage the site P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, expense management, and achievement of revenue targets.

  • Oversee daily forecasting and resource planning.

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships and manage project expectations.

  • Approve purchase orders within established authorization limits.

  • Ensure equipment, vehicles, and assets are properly maintained.

  • Responsible for maintaining inventory levels.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain a safe, organized, and compliant facility.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Progressive leadership experience in operations, industrial services, construction, environmental services, or related industries.

  • Experience managing budgets, financial performance, and P&L responsibilities.

  • Strong leadership, employee development, and team management skills.

  • Experience with workforce planning, performance management, and employee relations.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations, compliance requirements, and operational best practices.

  • Strong customer service, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
