LifeSTEPS is hiring for a full-time Fund Development Operations Coordinator in the Sacramento, CA area! This is a full-time, non-exempt position which will report to our corporate office located in Sacramento, CA 95827. We serve several regions from Northern, Sacramento, Bay Area, South Bay, Central Valley, LA County and Inland Pacific regions. About the Position

The Fund Development Operations Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and donor relations support to the Fund Development Department. This role is responsible for coordinating donor stewardship activities, managing and maintaining donor database integrity, supporting fundraising campaigns and appeals, assisting with marketing and communications initiatives, and contributing to the administration of scholarship programs and community engagement efforts. Through exceptional customer service, accurate data management, effective communication, and collaborative support, the FD Operations Coordinator helps strengthen donor relationships, advance fundraising goals, and promote LifeSTEPS' mission and impact throughout the communities it serves.

Essential Job Functions include the following. Other duties as appropriate may be assigned.

  • Promote and live out the LifeSTEPS workplace values of integrity, innovation, empowerment, respect and personal growth in tandem with the Oz Principle.

  • Follow all LifeSTEPS policies, procedures and guidelines.

Gift Processing and Donor Stewardship

  • Support the Fund Development department with administrative tasks as required for annual fundraising, marketing campaigns, and partner activities.

  • Prepare and assist with donor recognition materials as outlined in stewardship plan including thank you notes, cards, newsletters, plaques, etc.

  • Participate and assist with Annual Appeal fundraising efforts including phone calls, solicitation campaigns, direct mail, and annual asks to clients, donors and key stakeholders.

  • Identify professional development opportunities that help establish LifeSTEPS as the standard for creative, ahead of the curve donor appreciation ideas

  • Provides excellent customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our donors.

Database Management

  • Utilize Raisers Edge to maintain data entry standards and perform cleanup on an on-going basis

  • Master the Raisers Edge database management system and train others as needed to support a donor-centric culture

  • Maintain consistency of donor information and accuracy of Raiser Edge information

  • Assist with pulling Raiser Edge reports, mailing lists, and query generation to support campaigns and projects

  • Process donor information, generate and send all relevant correspondence, thank you’s, etc.

  • Coordinate printing of mailing labels and donor lists for appeal letters and other correspondence

  • Maintain hardcopy records of all donations as applicable

  • Responsible for generating and sending end-of-year tax letters

Marketing & Communications

  • Coordinate with the department Director and Specialist to assist with departments marketing and communications plan and strategic messaging internally and externally.

  • Assist with social media content, posting, website, and email updates alongside the department director and marketing specialist.

  • Assist in tracking, composing, writing, and sending impact stories to donors and key stakeholders.

  • Ensure email lists are current by performing routine cleanups and updates of the email CRM on an ongoing basis.

  • Maintain photo and other media files

  • Keep stock of communications pieces and letterhead current, print and order new pieces as necessary

  • Contribute to the department’s execution and management of the academic and sports scholarship programs; includes all aspects to launching scholarships, application screening and scoring, committee support, award processing and award recognition.

  • Assist in mentoring and communicating with scholarship recipients through speaking at partner recognition, fundraising, /celebration events,

  • Lead occasional trainings for staff of client assistance programs and update training material and presentations as needed.

  • Represent LifeSTEPS at community and fundraising events for booth coordination, set-up and presence.

  • May need to work some evenings and weekends in order to attend and assist in events as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.

  • 1-2 years related experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, or nonprofit development.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree.

  • Experience working in a non-profit setting preferred.
