CAD Technician

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a CAD Technician to add to their Overhead Transmission group. This is a growing team, and is seeking an eager individual to start as a CAD Technician to eventually advance to a Designer with room for growth from there.

Additional Responsibilities:

Prepare new drawings and revise existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts. Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures. Responsible for adhering to the drafting practices of selected discipline. Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects. Assist with tasks utilizing standard drafting detail programs. Assist in continuous drafting detail improvement efforts. Research solutions to project concerns and present solutions to design problems. Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.

Skills and Requirements

CAD Degree 2 to 3 years professionally working within AutoCAD (2D Design) PLS-CADD Overhead (Underground) Transmission specific project experience
