Maintains CVOR rooms in a ready status and assists in terminal cleaning and re-sterilization of equipment.

Disassembles, cleans, and reassembles equipment, and initiates work orders for equipment failures.

Checks availability and functionality of critical equipment and reports malfunctions.
-
Assists with the setup of clinical use equipment such as A-lines, CVP, and Swan-Ganz lines.
-
Transports patients following safety protocols and assists with positioning and surgical preparations.
-
Maintains infection control measures and a safe patient environment, applying quality care principles daily.
-
Assists anesthesia providers with clinical activities, including patient positioning and preparation for procedures.
-
Ensures anesthesia supplies are maintained at adequate levels and coordinates with providers and management regarding supply issues.

Anticipates and assembles necessary sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures.
-
Cleans and stocks anesthesia machines and workstations, ensuring readiness for daily schedules and between cases.

Remains alert to additional anesthesia needs during surgical procedures and responds appropriately.

Assists with the setup of remote anesthetizing locations as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
On the job training and applicable course attendance to be completed/e provided through our anesthesia services or vendors to achieve competency in areas related to the anesthesia technical support role. [Required]

Basic computer skills [Required]
-
Knowledge of anesthesia machines, supplies, and related monitoring equipment [Preferred]
-
Previous experience as an Anesthesia Technician [Preferred]
Education:
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Work Experience:
-
1+ year experience as a cna, medical assistant, emt or pct in health care setting [Required]
-
5+ years previous cvor/surgical services experience [Required]
Licenses and Certifications:
-
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Preferred]
-
Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT) [Preferred]

NHA Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) [Preferred] OR NCCT Patient Care Technician (NCPCT) [Preferred] OR AMCA Patient Care Technician Certification (PCT-C) [Preferred]

American Association Medical Assistants (CMA) [Preferred] OR Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) [Preferred] OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) [Preferred] OR National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) [Preferred] OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) [Preferred] OR Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$16.14 - $25.83 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
