Job Description

Insight Global seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to support the safe operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical distribution systems and equipment in an industrial and oilfield environment. This individual will be responsible for maintaining electrical infrastructure, ensuring operational reliability, supporting preventive maintenance programs, and working closely with engineers, contractors, and operations personnel. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting abilities, experience with medium-voltage systems, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), substations, and industrial control systems, along with a commitment to safety and operational excellence. They will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical distribution systems and associated equipment as well as switchboards and switchgear, motor control circuits, building and lighting systems and control circuits and control panels. They will also perform preventive and corrective maintenance on low-voltage electrical equipment, including switchgear, breakers, MCCs, and related infrastructure.

This will pay between 70-80/hr depending on years of experience.

Skills and Requirements

3 to 5 years of experience in the oil and gas, oilfield, petrochemical, or industrial manufacturing industry.

OSHA 1910.269 Electrical Qualification up to 600V.

Experience with electrical maintenance in heavy industrial facilities.

Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs using ladder logic, including diagnosing electrical and control system failures in an industrial environment.

Familiarity with outage planning, electrical reliability programs, and preventive maintenance practices.

Extensive hands-on experience with Motor Control Centers (MCCs), including installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in an industrial or oil & gas environment. Previous experience coordinating contract electrical resources. Electrically qualified per OSHA 1910.269 up to 600V
