Full job description

Job Title: CNC Operator Job Description

As a CNC Operator, you will play a crucial role in the operation and management of CNC equipment, contributing to our production processes with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC equipment by loading material, starting the cycle, and unloading material.

  • Stack and unload products according to instructions and handle materials as required.

  • Develop competency to change inserts within six months.

  • Develop competency to make offsets within three months.

  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and management.

  • Accurately enter production quantities into the ERP system.

  • Input job data accurately according to MBP MMS requirements.

  • Measure parts accurately per inspection requirements using various gaging and metrology equipment.

  • Participate in team activities as needed.

  • Serve as a 'go-to' person to accomplish work efficiently.

Essential Skills

  • 1-4 years of experience in a related field.

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of basic mathematics.

  • Basic blueprint reading and understanding of GD&T.

  • Proper measuring techniques with a variety of gauges.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior manufacturing experience in a job shop is preferred.

  • Ability to access and handle ITAR 'Technical Data' is essential.

Work Environment

Work in an air-conditioned, extremely clean, and organized facility. This position is for the 2nd shift, from 4pm-2:30am, Monday through Thursday. Operate a variety of advanced equipment, including turning centers, automated cells, vertical machining centers, and inspection equipment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lake Zurich, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $62400.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
