Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Project Manager, Operations Project Management for a top manufacturing client. This candidate will lead high-impact operational transformation initiatives that drive business performance and process optimization across the organization. The ideal professional will have a strong background in manufacturing environments and proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects from initiation through closure. This person will oversee multiple strategic programs at once, working closely with executive leadership, operations teams, consultants, and external partners to ensure successful delivery within scope, budget, and schedule. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned project manager who enjoys driving change, influencing business leaders, and leading enterprise-wide transformation efforts while working remotely.

  • Lead project management activities from project initiation through closure
  • Partner with sponsors to develop project charters and business cases
  • Establish governance structures and reporting frameworks
  • Manage 2-3 major transformation initiatives simultaneously
  • Coordinate internal teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Monitor project scope, budget, timelines, risks, and deliverables
  • Facilitate executive updates and stakeholder communications
  • Maintain PMO-compliant project documentation and artifacts
  • Identify and manage project interdependencies
  • Drive issue resolution and risk mitigation activities
  • Support organizational change management efforts
  • Manage project handoffs and post-implementation reviews
  • Continuously improve project management processes and standards
  • Collaborate with operations leadership to achieve strategic initiatives Travel as needed to support project implementation and stakeholder engagement

Skills and Requirements

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Proven experience managing complex projects across multiple business functions and disciplines

  • Experience leading large-scale operational transformation initiatives

  • Strong business analysis skills:

  • Business case development

  • Root cause analysis

  • Business decision matrices

  • Process mapping and optimization

  • Experience establishing and managing governance models

  • Working knowledge of Organizational Change Management (OCM)

  • Experience gathering business requirements, defining scope, solution design, and project planning

  • Strong resource, risk, issue, and stakeholder management experience

  • Ability to manage multiple projects/programs simultaneously

  • Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills

  • Strong negotiation and influencing abilities

  • Experience managing contractors, consultants, and external vendors

  • Proven ability to drive accountability and resolve challenging situations

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

  • Proficiency with Smartsheet and/or MS Project

  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills Ability to travel up to 50%

  • PMP Certification

  • Lean Six Sigma certification or experience

  • Experience within a PMO environment

  • Experience overseeing enterprise-wide transformation programs

  • International project management experience Manufacturing operations improvement experience
