Medical Dermatologist, Mayo Clinic Department of Dermatology, Rochester MN

The Department of Dermatology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible dermatologist with expertise and interest in complex medical dermatology to join our growing academic practice.

The position offers a dynamic, rewarding clinical practice that includes care of a diverse population of patients with serious and complex dermatologic disease referred to Mayo Clinic as a destination medical center, as well as a component of community-based dermatology. Medical dermatology faculty collaborate closely with dermatopathologists, pediatric dermatologists, surgical dermatologists, and specialists across Mayo Clinic to provide multidisciplinary care for patients with complex skin disease. Along with providing exceptional clinical care, our medical dermatologists educate and mentor learners and excel in research or innovation. Specifically, faculty have the opportunity to help shape the future of dermatologic care through clinical innovation, precision medicine, education, research, and emerging technologies.

The department is committed to advancing precision dermatology, expanding timely access to expert care, and thoughtfully incorporating advanced diagnostics, digital health, artificial intelligence, and data-driven approaches to improve patient outcomes.

The successful candidate will join a department of approximately 36 dermatologists, 24 residents, and 6 subspecialty fellows and work alongside nationally and internationally recognized experts. Faculty are supported in developing individualized careers and distinctive areas of clinical and scholarly expertise, with opportunities in clinical care, education, research, clinical trials, digital health, quality improvement, innovation, and multidisciplinary program development.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Candidates must have completed an ACGME-accredited dermatology residency prior to their appointment, be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Dermatology and be eligible for medical licensure in Minnesota.

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to academic dermatology through excellence in patient care, education, research, quality improvement, innovation, or program development. Individuals with interests in complex medical dermatology, precision medicine, clinical trials, digital health, artificial intelligence, translational research, or multidisciplinary care are particularly encouraged to apply.

The minimum starting salary for medical specialties may range from $512,479 to $684,551. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
