Overview

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit’s Defense Business Unit (“Spirit Defense”). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space marketplace. Through innovative engineering and rapid prototyping excellence, Spirit Defense provides the capabilities, technologies and support customers need to succeed in their missions.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

  • The Government Compliance Analyst – Purchasing System is part of an established cohesive team responsible for evaluating internal operational and procedural compliance in accordance with applicable U.S Government regulations.

  • The Government Compliance Analyst – Purchasing System performs monitoring of the Purchasing System in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) , the Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) and other supplements as required .

  • L eads/supports reviews/ audits performed by the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and/or the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) . Assist Defense Supply Chain Management (SCM) in the DCMA Contractor Purchasing System Reviews . Ensure audit findings are addressed by appropriate functional personnel and follow-up actions are assigned and completed.

  • Identify weaknesses and recommend solutions to mitigate issues and strengthen processes or adherence to the processes as they relate to purchasing and associated systems .

  • Remain current on applicable U.S. Government regulations, industry best practices, newsletters, media, and information that support compliance standards .

  • Creati ng and updating published POL/PROs in Business Writings as required .

  • Execute a comprehensive Government Compliance program which includes coaching, formal training, newsletters, and various forms of communication to build, maintain , and improve U.S. Government compliance capability and control .

  • Assess Spirit Defense , provide feedback and require corrective actions to ensure an audit-ready position at all times .

  • Ability to work and interface with diverse levels of Internal/External Customers & Defense Supply Chain personnel .

  • Regularly contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards within Spirit Defense Compliance particularly to the Purchasing and ancillary systems.

  • Respond to a d hoc requests .

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Business

  • 3-5 Years of Experience with Procurement and Inventory Management

  • Ability to obtain and maintain  a DoD security clearance and certain Program Accesses

  • Skill in making presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders a t all levels of the organization

  • Experience using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Detail oriented

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Strong computer skills

  • An active DoD Security Clearance

  • Experience interacting with s uppliers

  • Knowledge of SAP

  • Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation), DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Truthful Cost or Pricing Data ( fka Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA))

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $71,750.00 - $110,000.00

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
