This vacancy is located in Tangipahoa Parish- DCFS Child Support Enforcement Office in Amite, LA.

We’re looking for an Administrative Coordinator 4 to serve as the first point of contact at the agency in our Child Support Enforcement Office in Tangipahoa Parish, creating a welcoming environment for clients and visitors and providing administrative support that keeps our front office running smoothly. This position provides clerical, programmatic, and administrative support functions for staff, applicants and clients of the Tangipahoa Parish Child Support Enforcement office.

Three years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here. Job Duties:• Provides clerical support to Child Support Enforcement Manager and staff.
- Maintains record of expenditures, including tracking, monitoring, and reporting.
- Utilizes purchasing system to purchase goods necessary for the operation of the office.
- Manages funds for drug testing and payment of court-ordered paternity testing.
- Monitors travel expense claims.
- Serves as personnel officer for the Child Support Enforcement Office.
- Conducts annual inventory on equipment at the Child Support Enforcement Office.
- Serves as safety coordinator and prepares annual safety audit packets to include driver training.
- Compiles and completes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for submission to higher level agency personnel.
Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.
Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Administrative Coordinator 4.
Work Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts.
Work Location: Covington Region (Tangipahoa Parish)
Louisiana HB420 requires that all prospective DCFS employees complete and clear multiple background checks prior to employment with the agency. NOTE: The incumbent of this position must not have been convicted or pled nolo contendere to a crime listed in R.S. 15.587.1 (c).
Must possess a valid driver's license & access to a personal vehicle before appointment.
