Job Description

An Insight Global customer in the construction industry is seeking to hire a Superintendent to oversee the MEP Electrical Systems scope for a mega project in Boise, ID. This project carries a multi-billion-dollar budget, supports a high-tech manufacturing client, and is expected to continue through 2028.

In this role, you will coordinate and supervise daily construction activities alongside other superintendents, subcontractors, and trade partners. You will be responsible for maintaining schedule adherence, cost control, quality standards, and overall project execution while ensuring a safe working environment across the job site. The primary scope of work will focus on electrical infrastructure and MEP electrical systems, including power distribution, medium and low-voltage systems, switchgear, substations, generators, grounding, lighting, controls, fire alarm systems, and other related electrical installations that support high-tech industrial operations.

The initial contract is expected to last 12 months, with a strong possibility of extension. Compensation is up to $75/hr, along with a generous per diem package for qualified candidates. Exact compensation may vary based on experience and education. Candidates should expect to work 50-60 hours per week, with additional hours required as project demands dictate. Typical start times are around 6:00 AM, though schedule flexibility may occasionally be required to support project needs.

Skills and Requirements

10+ years of experience as a Superintendent supporting electrical construction or MEP electrical projects. Experience supporting mega projects or high-tech industrial/manufacturing construction projects. Experience managing RFIs, cost controls, project schedules, and QA/QC programs for electrical systems including power distribution, medium/low-voltage systems, switchgear, substations, generators, controls, lighting, and fire alarm systems. Strong understanding of electrical installation practices, commissioning requirements, and electrical safety standards. OSHA 30 Certification. Experience using Procore to track field progress, document project activities, and manage construction reporting. Experience on semiconductor, data center, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or similar mission-critical construction projects. Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, or Electrical Engineering background. Experience with commissioning and startup of complex electrical systems. Knowledge of NEC and applicable electrical codes and standards.
