Full job description

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Lead Physical Substation Engineer to provide technical leadership and serve as the PE responsible for reviewing and stamping physical substation design packages. This individual will oversee project execution, mentor team members, perform quality reviews, and support substation design efforts from concept through completion. The ideal candidate will have an active PE license, strong physical substation design experience, and the ability to lead projects while serving as a key technical resource for the engineering team. Site visits are required 1-2 times per month.

Skills and Requirements

  • PE License
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Physical Substation Design experience
  • Leadership experience managing projects and/or personnel
  • Ability to review and stamp engineering design packages
  • Stable tenure (2+ years with employers)
  • Previous mentoring or team leadership experience
