Full job description

Uintah Engineering & Land Surveying is looking for an experienced HR professional to become an integral part of a broader HR support system for UELS employees (Team Members).

This position is responsible for the day-to-day HR functions and performs a range of HR responsibilities including: talent management and development, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations, training, record-keeping, performance management, policy administration and regulatory compliance.

Responsible for compliance, work-authorizations, workers compensation administration, unemployment insurance claims and management.

Oversees the onboarding process including offer letters, background checks, motor vehicle reports, facilitate new hire orientation training, etc.

Performs database management: HRIS, benefit administration, and payroll-related databases.

Maintains positive relationships Management and Team Members, HR partners, community partners, state and federal employment agencies, schools, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess a Bachelor's in HR Management or related field plus 2-5 years of experience. Related experience or certifications may satisfy education requirements. Professional HR certification preferred (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR).

Must have a working knowledge of general HR practices and employment regulations. General understanding of HR and payroll software.

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be proactive and professional, with a "get the job done right" attitude. Must be able to operate with limited supervision and be able to learn and adapt in a changing business environment.
