Schedule: Full time Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 3000 Medical Park Dr City: Tampa State: Florida Postal Code: 33613 Job Description:

  • Hybrid with in-office days in Tampa, FL

  • Verifies patient data and insurance to ensure it is updated for accurate billing.

  • Handles patient concerns or refers them to administration appropriately.

  • Accesses and complete referrals in designated work queues for assigned specialty.

  • Fills patient cancellation slots efficiently to keep schedules booked for practitioners.

  • Builds relationships with patients, consumers, and co-workers in a virtual setting.

  • Meets daily, weekly, and monthly qualitative and quantitative performance metrics.

  • Trains effectively in multiple and complex scheduling processes.

  • Accurately schedules patients for medical office visit appointments and hospital procedures.

  • Transfers callers to appropriate departments or locations when necessary.

  • Registers new patients by inputting demographic and insurance information.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient with computer programs: Email, PowerPoint, Excel, Word. [Required]
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills by effectively communicating with all levels of management, staff and outside vendors and patients. [Required]
  • Strong emphasis on organizational skills and strong attention to detail and ability and willingness to multi task. [Required]
  • Ability to deal with data that is of a sensitive and confidential nature. [Required]
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. [Required]
  • Displays professional interactions with all levels of internal and external patients’/customers as demonstrated by work history and interview process. [Required]
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. [Required]
  • Certified in effective scheduling of designated service lines and specialties. [Required]
  • Comprehension of medical terminology and procedures for designated specialties. [Required]
  • Understanding of insurance verification and authorization processes. [Required]
  • Knowledge of EPIC EHR. [Preferred]

Education:

  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience:

  • 1+ medical office or medical call center setting experience. [Preferred]
  • Previous customer service experience. [Required]

Pay Range:

$16.30 - $26.08 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)

Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
