Location: This will be a hybrid role. The selected candidate will split time between working from home and a local office. The ideal candidate will live commuting distance from Buffalo Grove, IL; Atlanta, GA; or New York, NY. Additionally, this role will travel globally 50%.

We are looking for an exceptional Global Data Center Vertical Lead, Smart Infrastructure Building to define and execute SI B's strategy for this vertical - accelerating market penetration, expanding share of wallet, and positioning Siemens as the partner of choice for next-generation data center assets worldwide.
As the Global Data Center Vertical Lead, Smart Infrastructure Building , you will:
Strategy & Market Development

Define and own the SI B Data Center vertical strategy, aligned with global Siemens direction and SI B commercial ambitions

Develop a comprehensive market segmentation framework across all regions and segments - hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, AI Factory, and Neo Clouds
-
Identify white spaces, growth paths, and emerging customer archetypes to continuously evolve SI B's market position
-
Translate strategy into clear, actionable execution plans with defined milestones and KPIs
Go-To-Market & Business Development

Define and implement go-to-market strategies for targeted segments and geographies, ensuring broad and effective market coverage
-
Build a strategic network of channel partners, system integrators, and ecosystem players to scale reach and execution

Drive pipeline creation, customer engagement, and investment proposals for new growth opportunities - including Neo Cloud and AI Factory operators
Portfolio & Offering Development

Lead the market introduction of new SI B portfolio offerings, translating customer and market needs into actionable inputs for product and solution development

Collaborate with Business Units to co-create differentiated value propositions with a strong focus on digitalization, energy efficiency, and operational resilience

Identify portfolio gaps and ensure SI B's offering remains ahead of market needs
Stakeholder Engagement & Community Orchestration

Animate and coordinate a global community of Data Center functional experts, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and aligned execution across regions - without direct line management

Act as the central connector between regional sales teams, business units, marketing, and the SI Global Vertical Lead

Drive clear priorities, shared frameworks, and strong communication rhythms across the functional community
Thought Leadership & External Influence

Act as the SI B spokesperson for the Data Center vertical - internally and externally
-
Build and maintain C-level relationships with key customers, decision-makers, and ecosystem influencers globally
-
Drive thought leadership through industry events, integrated marketing campaigns, and corporate initiatives
Market Intelligence & Performance

Gather and analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer intelligence to continuously sharpen strategy in collaboration with Global Data Center team
-
Define and track vertical KPIs - coverage, penetration, pipeline, revenue growth, and share of wallet
-
Provide regular strategic updates to SI B leadership, translating market signals into business decisions
You will make an impact with these qualifications:

15+ years in business development, vertical strategy, or market leadership - within or serving the Data Center industry
-
Deep understanding of Data Center market dynamics - hyperscalers, colocations, Neo Clouds, AI Factory operators, regulations, and technology trends
-
Strong knowledge of building technologies and digital platforms relevant to data center infrastructure (BMS, EPMS, fire safety, security, digital twins)
-
Proven track record of defining and executing strategies with measurable commercial outcomes
-
Demonstrated ability to drive results through influence in a global, matrixed environment
-
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
