Insight Global is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead one a large implementation of Epic Community Connect across facilities in South Carolina,
This senior-level role will oversee the planning, execution, governance, and successful deployment of a statewide Epic Community Connect program involving multiple clinical, operational, and technical workstreams. The Project Manager III will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, physician champions, operational stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure successful delivery through five phased activation waves. The ideal candidate is a proven healthcare project leader with experience managing large-scale enterprise initiatives, driving executive engagement, coordinating cross-functional teams, and delivering complex healthcare technology implementations within highly regulated environments.
Enterprise Program Leadership

Lead a high-profile, enterprise-wide Epic Community Connect implementation with significant operational and strategic impact.

Establish program governance, decision-making structures, executive reporting, and escalation pathways.

Define project scope, timelines, success metrics, readiness criteria, and key performance indicators.

Manage multiple interconnected workstreams while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.

Serve as the primary liaison between executive sponsors, clinical leadership, operations teams, technology teams, and external vendors.

Facilitate steering committee meetings, executive reviews, risk discussions, and decision-making forums.

Proactively identify risks, dependencies, barriers, and mitigation strategies across the program.

Manage project budgets, vendor relationships, resource planning, and financial oversight as required. Epic Community Connect Implementation

Lead deployment of a standardized Epic Community Connect model across 21 correctional healthcare facilities statewide.

Coordinate implementation activities across five controlled activation waves with defined readiness milestones and stabilization periods.

Ensure alignment between implementation standards and operational requirements across participating facilities.
-
Oversee project planning and execution for Epic build, workflow design, integration efforts, testing, training, cutover, and go-live activities.

Drive accountability across stakeholders to ensure successful implementation outcomes. Operational Readiness & Site Deployment

Direct readiness planning and activation efforts across all participating facilities.

Coordinate infrastructure and deployment activities including: o Network and wireless readiness o Hardware deployment o End-user device readiness o Printers, scanners, and peripheral equipment o Identity and access management o Facility deployment readiness

Partner closely with operational leaders to ensure facilities are prepared for each implementation wave.
Clinical, Technical & Workflow Coordination

Partner with Epic application and informatics teams to support implementation of: o Ambulatory workflows o Behavioral Health workflows o Dental workflows o Pharmacy systems o Laboratory systems o Imaging workflows o Scheduling and patient flow processes

Coordinate interface development, interoperability initiatives, integrated testing, and workflow validation activities.

Facilitate collaboration between clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to achieve workflow alignment and adoption.
Data Conversion, Training & Go-Live

Oversee planning and coordination of: o MPI and CCD conversion activities o Registration and abstraction efforts o Medication reconciliation preparation o Data transition readiness

Lead training readiness efforts, super-user engagement, and end-user adoption strategies.

Coordinate cutover planning, command center support, issue escalation, and post-go-live stabilization activities.

Ensure successful transition from implementation into ongoing Community Connect operations and support.
Leadership & Change Management
- Drive organizational change management strategies across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Develop communication plans that promote transparency, engagement, and adoption.
- Build strong partnerships with executive sponsors, physician champions, operational leaders, and workgroup teams.
- Mentor and provide oversight to Project Manager I and II team members.
- Lead post-implementation reviews, lessons learned sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
- 4+ years of progressive project or program management experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
- Previous experience with detention centers and corrections.
- Previous experience with EPIC community connect implementation
- Demonstrated success managing enterprise-level deployments with executive-level visibility and accountability.
- Experience driving governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and organizational change initiatives.
- Knowledge of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, ambulatory care, behavioral health, pharmacy, laboratory, and imaging services.
- Experience coordinating multi-site healthcare deployments and phased go-live strategies.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex workstreams in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience leading Epic implementations, Epic Community Connect initiatives, EHR deployments, or healthcare technology programs.
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability, data conversion, application integration, and operational readiness planning.
- Experience working in an academic medical center, integrated health system, or large healthcare organization.
Skills and Requirements
