Pharmacy Billing Representative

Pay Rate: $19.50 / hour

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Work Location: Hybrid (Must live within 1 hour of Monroeville, PA)

Safety Sensitive Position: Yes

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Billing Representative to join our team in a hybrid capacity. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring timely and accurate billing for unbilled claims while securing payments on outstanding balances. You will serve as a key point of contact, delivering exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance carriers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Claims & Billing Resolution: Process unbilled claims efficiently and pursue outstanding balances to ensure accurate, compliant billing practices.

  • Multi-System Navigation: Utilize multiple operating systems and web-based applications to retrieve document images, gather fill documentation, and work complex claims through to complete resolution.

  • Customer & Carrier Communication: Deliver clear, professional, and courteous service when speaking with patients, insurance carriers, and healthcare providers.

  • Task Management: Prioritize daily workloads effectively to meet department goals and billing timelines.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on experience in healthcare reimbursement, medical insurance/billing, or closely related work.

  • System Knowledge: At least 1 year of experience navigating healthcare reimbursement systems.

  • Location Constraint: Must reside within a 1-hour drive of Monroeville, PA .

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort learning proprietary web-based platforms.

  • Medical Knowledge: Working knowledge of basic medical terminology.

  • Soft Skills: Strong customer service orientation, attention to detail, and a collaborative team mindset.

Work Environment & Interview Details

  • Hybrid Schedule: Position offers potential work-from-home flexibility based on performance and business needs, but candidates must be located within 1 hour of the Monroeville, PA office.

  • Interview Process: Initial interviews will be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams video conference .

Pay Details: $19.50 per hour
