Job Overview

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join their growing development team in Deerfield, IL. This individual will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting proprietary internal business applications used across the organization. Approximately 70% of the role will be focused on software development and application maintenance, while 30% will involve troubleshooting, user support, and technical issue resolution.

This position offers the opportunity to work directly with business stakeholders, own applications throughout the full development lifecycle, and contribute to both new development and ongoing system improvements.

Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain internal business applications Work across a variety of technologies including C#, .NET, Blazor, WinForms, Android, and REST APIs Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and implement solutions Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects Perform data analysis and create ad hoc reports Provide end-user support for internally developed applications Assist with hardware and third-party software troubleshooting as needed Participate in testing, deployment, and ongoing application support

Skills and Requirements

1-3 years of professional software development experience Strong experience with C# and .NET (.NET Framework and/or .NET Core/.NET 8+) Experience developing and supporting desktop or web-based applications Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, relational databases, stored procedures, views, and Entity Framework Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, small-team environment Preferred Qualifications Experience building or consuming REST APIs Experience with Blazor Experience with Android development Knowledge of IIS, Microsoft Office, RDP, Visual Studio, and SQL Server Management Studio Experience with Git version control Familiarity with software development lifecycle best practices Exposure to AI-assisted development tools
