Job Description

One of Insight Globals clients is looking for a Top Secret Network Administrator I. This Admin will support secure enterprise and government network environments, ensuring critical network infrastructure remains operational, secure, and optimized for performance. Day-to-day, this individual will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and supporting network technologies. They will investigate connectivity and performance issues, manage routing and switching functions, support firewall and security operations, review system and network logs, and document network configurations and architecture changes. The role works closely with engineers, cybersecurity teams, system administrators, and end users to support secure operations across both physical and virtualized environments. This is a hands-on position that requires strong networking fundamentals, a troubleshooting mindset, and the ability to support mission-critical infrastructure in a highly secure environment.

This is a 100% onsite full time position in Huntsville, AL with a pay range of $115,000 - $130,000 based on experience. If interested please apply!

Skills and Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • 3+ years of hands-on network administration, network operations, or network engineering experience supporting routed and switched environments
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
  • Security+ CE or other IAT Level II security certification
  • CCNA or advanced Cisco networking certification
  • Experience with VXLAN, EVPN, SDN, SD-WAN, load balancing, or advanced firewall platforms
  • VMware, VMware Horizon, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix XenServer, Oracle VM, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, or other virtualization technologies
  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, LDAP, authentication protocols, and least-privilege access administration
  • PKI and SSO implementation or infrastructure experience
