Substitute Teacher Opportunity with Amergis

Location: Ontario, San Bernardino, and surrounding areas, CA

Pay: $180-$260 per day, depending on experience

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking reliable and dedicated Substitute Teachers to support K-12 school districts throughout Ontario, San Bernardino, and surrounding communities. This is an excellent opportunity for educators looking for flexible work while making a meaningful impact in the classroom.

The Substitute Teacher implements the daily instructional plans of the classroom teacher in an effective manner. The individual maintains a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and personal growth, establishes positive rapport with students, and ensures effective classroom management. The Substitute Teacher works collaboratively with school administrators, faculty, and staff to support student success.

Responsibilities

  • Implement lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher.

  • Maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment.

  • Manage classroom behavior in accordance with school and district policies.

  • Provide instruction and support to students across various grade levels and subject areas.

  • Communicate effectively with school administrators, teachers, students, and parents as needed.

  • Monitor student progress and complete required documentation.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher required.

  • Valid California Substitute Teaching Permit, teaching credential, or other applicable licensure.

  • One year of teaching experience preferred.

  • Ability to read and implement instructional plans effectively.

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with school administrators, parents, students, and staff.

  • Ability to accept direct responsibility for the safety, well-being, and educational support of students.

  • Current CPR certification, if required.

  • Current TB clearance, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable.

  • Current health certificate, if required by district or state regulations.

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
