Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Facilities Project Management Specialist to support our business in Hertford, NC .

Position Responsibilities:

Project Management and Compliance

  • Oversee and manage daily project operations ensuring alignment with contractual requirements, Boeing’s project management methodologies, quality standards, and safety requirements.

  • Utilize and adapt Boeing project management frameworks and best practices to meet specific project goals, ensure compliance with internal policies, and support reporting needs.

  • Conduct periodic project performance reviews to identify improvements, implement corrective actions, and enhance overall outcomes.

  • Oversee and coordinate vendors and subcontractors on-site to ensure timely project completion, adherence to budget constraints, and compliance with quality and safety standards.

  • Ensure full compliance with Boeing governance, supplier standards, and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.

Communication and Reporting

  • Maintain regular communication with Program Managers, stakeholders, and project teams to foster collaboration, transparency, and proactive issue resolution.

  • Prepare and present weekly progress reports, comprehensive evaluations, and project status briefings covering milestones, budget tracking, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.

Scope, Planning, and Scheduling

  • Participate in defining project scope applying relevant standards and regulations to establish a comprehensive and baseline scope.

  • Establish and maintain baseline critical path schedules using tools such as RSMeans to estimate costs, resources, and timelines, supporting budgeting and feasibility assessments.

  • Perform variance analysis and recommend schedule and cost-related changes to ensure project commitments are met.

Budget and Procurement Management

  • Manage project budgets in accordance with financial policies, ensuring expenditures are accurately controlled and documented.

  • Conduct procurement investigations and coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services that meet project budget and schedule requirements.

Risk Management

  • Assist in risk assessment by applying standard project risk techniques.

  • Develop risk response plans and provide recommendations to stakeholders aimed at minimizing project risk and ensuring successful delivery.

Documentation and Deliverables

  • Write and review Statements of Work (SOW) to clearly define objectives, deliverables, timelines, roles, and payment terms, mitigating risks such as scope creep and miscommunication.

  • Perform discovery activities by gathering and documenting all relevant project information to understand constraints and stakeholder expectations fully.

  • Demonstrate ability to create concept drawings to communicate and validate initial project ideas, using tools like PowerPoint, Microsoft Visio, or Floorplanner.

  • Support audits and reviews by Boeing oversight functions with clear documentation and timely responses.

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years’ Project Management experience

  • 2+ years’ experience working with Visio, Mind Manager, PowerPoint or other process mapping/diagram applications

  • 2+ years’ experience with MS Project

  • Experience with Maximo

  • Experience with estimating costs for major building projects, from construction documents, engineering technical specifications, and drawings

  • Ability to obtain SCI and full scope polygraph prior to starting

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Experience working with U.S. Government contracts

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $87,550 – 118,450
