Job Title: Senior Industrial Traveling Project ManagerJob Description
The Senior Industrial Traveling Project Manager leads large-scale industrial and agricultural construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role oversees project financials, schedules, subcontractors, cost control, and client relationships, while driving project profitability and mentoring project teams. The position is ideal for an experienced industrial construction professional with a strong background in biofuels, oilseed processing, or agricultural facilities, and expertise in self-perform construction and union labor environments.
Responsibilities

Lead large-scale industrial and agricultural construction projects from initial planning and preconstruction through execution and project closeout.

Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive project schedules using CPM scheduling methodologies and tools such as Primavera P6.

Oversee project financials, including cost control, margin management, and overall project profitability, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.

Manage estimating and preconstruction activities, including reviewing designs, preparing budgets, and supporting bid development.

Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and self-perform construction crews to ensure work quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.

Operate effectively within union labor environments, aligning project plans and execution with applicable labor agreements and practices.

Serve as a client-facing leader, building strong relationships, communicating project status, and addressing issues and changes proactively.

Provide Senior project management oversight for large, complex projects, making key decisions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Mentor and guide project teams, fostering professional development and promoting best practices in project management and construction execution.

Support business development efforts by contributing technical expertise, project insights, and client relationship management.

Ensure successful project execution from start to finish, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and performance across all phases.
Essential Skills
-
At least 10 years of experience in industrial construction.
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in agricultural industrial projects.

Proven project experience in biofuels and/or oilseed processing facilities.
-
Demonstrated Senior Project Manager experience managing large, complex industrial projects.
-
Hands-on experience with self-perform contractor operations in an industrial setting.
-
Strong background working within union labor environments.
-
Expertise in CPM scheduling, including use of Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools.

Strong ownership of project financials, including cost, margin, and profitability management.
-
Experience in estimating and preconstruction planning for industrial construction projects.

Client-facing leadership experience with a track record of building and maintaining effective client relationships.

Work Environment
This is a travel-focused role with frequent time spent on project sites. Most projects are located throughout the Midwest and further South, with limited projects on the East and West coasts. The work environment centers around large industrial and agricultural construction facilities, involving coordination with union labor crews, subcontractors, and self-perform teams. The position requires adaptability to different site conditions and regional practices, as well as comfort working in a dynamic, project-driven setting where schedules and priorities may shift based on project needs.

This is a Permanent position based out of Roseville, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
