Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a BIM Coordinator to support the engineering, procurement, and construction of hyperscale, mission-critical data center projects across the United States for a leading energy company. This role will be responsible for coordinating BIM and VDC activities across multiple disciplines, ensuring models are accurate, coordinated, and construction-ready throughout the project lifecycle. The BIM Coordinator will work closely with design teams, trade partners, consultants, field personnel, and project management teams to facilitate model integration, clash detection, constructability reviews, and digital project delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong MEP coordination experience, hands-on expertise with BIM platforms, and the ability to drive collaboration between design and construction stakeholders to improve project execution and reduce field conflicts.

Skills and Requirements

5-10 years of BIM/VDC experience supporting large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction projects Demonstrated hands-on experience performing MEP coordination, clash detection, and constructability reviews on complex projects Experience maintaining federated models and coordinating across multiple disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural systems Experience supporting BIM implementation throughout the design and construction lifecycle Strong understanding of construction sequencing and how BIM supports field execution and coordination Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and Navisworks Experience working within Common Data Environments (CDEs) such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, or Procore Experience facilitating coordination meetings and driving model issue resolution between stakeholders Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience supporting data center or mission-critical facility construction projects Experience with 4D simulations and construction sequencing workflows Experience supporting digital twin initiatives, model validation, and quality assurance processes Experience with modular construction, prefabrication, or vendor-engineered MEP systems Autodesk certifications and/or VDC-related credentials Experience with reality capture technologies, Autodesk Recap, laser scanning, or point cloud workflows Familiarity with BIM automation, model-based quantity takeoffs, and digital turnover requirements
