Full job description

Description

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Recruiter to lead high-volume recruitment for manufacturing and frontline operations in Lemont, Illinois. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who excels in a fast-moving environment and can attract dependable talent for plant, warehouse, and production teams. The role will oversee the recruiting process from talent sourcing and candidate evaluation through pre-employment steps and onboarding support. You will work closely with operational leaders to help meet workforce demands with timely, organized, and effective recruitment efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive recruitment efforts for hourly manufacturing roles, including production staff, machine operators, warehouse team members, packaging employees, and other plant-based positions.

  • Build strong candidate pools through online sourcing, employee referrals, social platforms, community partnerships, and local recruitment campaigns.

  • Guide applicants through each stage of the recruitment process, providing updates and maintaining a positive candidate experience.

  • Coordinate screening activities, interview scheduling, and selection workflows to keep openings moving efficiently.

  • Prepare and review employment eligibility records, including I-9 completion and related compliance documentation.

  • Support pre-employment processes and collect new employee forms to ensure accurate and timely onboarding.

  • Partner with plant and operations leadership to understand staffing priorities, urgent openings, and workforce planning needs.

  • Maintain organized applicant data, track recruitment activity, and report on recruitment progress and key metrics.

  • Contribute to onboarding coordination so new employees transition smoothly into their roles and work environment.

The salary range for this position is $24 to $28. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements • At least 2 years of recruiting experience, with preference for work in manufacturing, production, warehouse, logistics, distribution, or other industrial settings.

  • Background supporting high-volume hiring for hourly employee populations.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer-stage coordination.

  • Experience handling employment verification and I-9 documentation in a compliant manner.

  • Familiarity with onboarding tasks, new employee paperwork, and applicant tracking systems.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams.

  • Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to balance multiple openings at once.

  • Comfort working onsite and collaborating directly with leadership in a manufacturing environment. TalentMatch®
