Job Summary

Sets up and delivers precision ground cutting tools such as end mills, reamers, and drills by installing them into various types of arbors (HSK, CAT, KM4, drill chucks) used by the milling machines.

3rd Shift Role

Job Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of holding devices for tool grinding.

  • Ability to verify dimensions of cutting tools for conformance to specifications.

  • Read and measure with micrometers, calipers, scales and electronic measuring devices,

  • Delivers finished cutting tools and picks up dull cutting tools on scheduled basis to multiple locations within the facility.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • Ability to interface with multiple departments and personnel in a friendly and effective manner.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment.

  • A self-starter with the ability to remain motivated and remain productive without requiring prompting from supervisors.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED or 3 years experience of manufacturing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • GKN Aerospace Experience

  • Ability to interface with CNC grinding machines as well as personal computers.

  • Microsoft EXCEL, WORD, and OUTLOOK experience is of benefit.

Physical Demands

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
