Full job description

As an HR Specialist, you will work closely with the Human Resources Manager and HR team on all HR Programs and processes including personnel, safety, benefits, payroll as well as general reception and office support, meeting prep and facilitation; plus participate in HR and charitable special projects as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL DO• Performs various duties, as assigned, to support Specific HR programs such as benefits, recruiting, payroll, Worker’s Comp, OSHA reporting and unemployment. • Support other administrative and recurring HR processes by gathering information, maintaining accurate records, and following up on outstanding items.• Administrative responsibilities including answering phones and front desk coverage on a rotational basis, maintaining conference room and office area.• Attend/support recruiting, charitable and community events and meetings to promote Dot and recruit talent and promote brand image.• Uses various communication tools such as Microsoft products (SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint), Yodeck, to disseminate information to the DC.• Apply lean thinking to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.

YOU MUST HAVE• High school diploma or general equivalency degree• Intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint & Excel• Ability to tolerate sitting and perform keyboard functions for duration of shift • Conscientious ability to maintain confidential company personal records• Professional and effective communication and organization skills• Valuable prioritization skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE • College degree• Great interpersonal skills in working with employees• Ability to work independently as well as work with other departments

ROLE SPECIFICS • Schedule: Full Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, schedule may vary to accommodate night shift personnel • Involves environment of sitting for extended periods of time and performing data entry• Must have the ability to walk around the Distribution Center campus as needed
