Staff Accountant | Venture Capital Firm | Menlo Park; Hybrid - 3 Days onsite

Join a well-respected investment firm with a collaborative, tight-knit team and exposure to high-growth companies. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants a hands-on, varied role with visibility across accounting, fund operations, and investor-related activity.

You’ll work closely with an experienced finance team in a positive, in-office environment while building your skill set and taking on increasing responsibility. The firm offers bonus potential, strong retirement benefits, and long-term incentive opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support quarterly close activities for the management company

• Review corporate card and employee expense activity

• Process vendor payments and AP

• Maintain cash ledgers and monitor multiple bank accounts

• Initiate wires, credit line draws, and intercompany transactions

• Reconcile bank accounts and track intercompany balances

• Support capital calls and cash distributions

Requirements

• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred

• QuickBooks experience required

• Strong Excel and accounting software skills

• Expensify, Bill.com, corporate card, investment, or CRM system experience a plus

• Strong attention to detail and organization

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Team-oriented, personable, and collaborative

• Interest in venture capital and the startup ecosystem

• Familiarity with AI tools a plus
