Job Description

Our client is seeking an AI Engineer who will work at the intersection of business and technology, partnering with teams across the organization to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-value AI solutions. This person will design, build, test, and deploy Microsoft Copilot agents using Agent Builder and Copilot Studio, connecting them with enterprise data sources such as SharePoint, Teams, Dataverse, and other business systems.

The AI Engineer will serve as an internal subject matter expert for Microsoft 365 Copilot and Anthropic Claude, providing guidance on prompt engineering, model selection, grounding behavior, enterprise data protection, and responsible AI use. This individual will also lead training sessions, office hours, and hands-on workshops while developing supporting resources such as FAQs, newsletters, SharePoint content, and reusable prompt libraries.

In partnership with Legal, HR, Cybersecurity, and Compliance, this role will help establish AI governance standards and guardrails around agent publishing, approval workflows, sensitive data handling, and the use of approved generative AI tools. The AI Engineer will also monitor adoption metrics, agent usage, license utilization, training participation, and measurable business outcomes while staying current on Microsoft and Anthropic product developments

Pay: $60-70 an hour

Skills and Requirements

3-6+ years of experience in AI, automation, software engineering, business systems, or a related technical field, with a proven track record of delivering business-facing technology solutions.

Hands-on experience building and deploying AI solutions, preferably leveraging Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI agents, chatbots, workflow automation, or other generative AI technologies in an enterprise environment.

Strong Microsoft 365 expertise, including SharePoint Online, Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with a solid understanding of how enterprise users interact with data, content, and collaboration tools.

Experience developing Copilot Agents and AI assistants using Copilot Studio and Agent Builder, including configuring agent behavior, grounding responses in enterprise data sources, and supporting end-user adoption.

Strong prompt engineering and AI solution design skills, including the ability to create effective prompts, troubleshoot AI outputs, and educate business users on AI best practices.

Experience with Power Platform technologies, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse, with the ability to build automated workflows and integrate AI capabilities into business processes.

Understanding of AI governance, data security, and enterprise compliance, including permissions, sensitivity labels, responsible AI practices, and protection of company data within AI tools.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language and effectively train users at all levels of the organization.

Experience serving as an AI champion or subject matter expert, helping drive adoption, establish best practices, and identify opportunities for AI-driven business improvements

Familiarity with Azure AI services, APIs, and integrations.
