Teleion is seeking a senior technology consultant to architect solutions for sophisticated products within a containerized cloud environment. This position is hands-on and client-facing, involving the design of containerization strategies, the development of secure Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments, and serving as a trusted technical advisor to executive-level clients. Onsite presence in Seattle, WA is required for this position. Responsibility
-
Drive the architecture and technical design for products built in containers and deployed on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
-
Support the migration of existing products toward a container-based architecture on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
-
Design and stand up Kubernetes environments that are secure by default, covering network segmentation, RBAC, secrets management, image scanning, pod security standards, and workload identity.
-
Develop migration roadmaps that weigh technical feasibility against cost, risk, and business continuity.
-
Work alongside client subject matter experts to shape, build, and gain buy-in for architecture recommendations, managing stakeholder risk while keeping development moving quickly.
-
Serve as the technical point of contact for each engagement, bridging hands-on engineering work with broader product strategy discussions.
-
Work with client engineering teams to build, test, and put the target-state architecture into production.
-
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to stand up and manage Azure and Kubernetes environments in a way that is repeatable and auditable.
-
Spot and document security risks, threat models, and mitigation approaches tailored to containerized and cloud-native environments.
-
Coach software engineers on containers, cloud-native deployment approaches, and security best practices.
Requirement
-
8 or more years working in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering, including substantial hands-on experience with production Kubernetes.
-
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure networking, Azure Active Directory / Entra ID, and Azure security tools such as Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, and Azure Policy.
-
Solid background in containerization, including Docker, Helm, and container image lifecycle and registries.
-
Hands-on skill with Infrastructure as Code via Terraform, including modular design and state management in production settings.
-
A track record of designing and implementing security controls for cloud-native environments, spanning IAM/RBAC, network policy, secrets management, encryption, vulnerability scanning, and relevant compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA.
-
Experience moving a SaaS product or monolithic application into a containerized or microservices architecture.
-
A history of consulting or client-facing delivery work, including running architecture workshops, whiteboard sessions, and presentations to executives.
-
A confident executive presence, with the ability to convey complex business impacts to senior stakeholders and stand behind recommendations with clear reasoning.
-
Strong writing skills for architecture documentation, runbooks, and proposals shared with clients.
-
Ability and willingness to work onsite in Seattle, WA.
