Full job description

As an Accountant at OnLogic, you will report directly to the Controller and play a leading role in driving all daily functions of Global Finance. Your work will directly impact the company's growth and scalability by taking ownership of accounting operations, assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, managing complex transactions, and elevating financial reporting in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will act as a key influencer, mentor, and trusted subject matter expert for the finance team, executive leadership, and the broader OnLogic organization.

We believe in the power of in-person collaboration and the benefits of a strong workplace community. Therefore, this role requires an onsite presence at our South Burlington, VT office. We encourage candidates who are able to relocate or comfortably commute to apply.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Prioritizing, overseeing and reviewing daily transaction flows, including AP, AR, inventory accounting, and general ledger operations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to GAAP.

  • Assisting with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and issuing timely, audit-ready financial statements.

  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all accounting transactions and processes.

  • Acting as the point of control for accounting transaction discrepancies or transactional issues.

  • Looking for opportunities to increase efficiency and scalability through automation and streamlining accounting processes.

  • Identifying areas of risk and implementing mitigation strategies, including team structure, workflow, cross-functional collaboration, and system changes.

  • Supporting the FP&A function and annual planning process by providing financial data, KPIs, and analysis of revenue and spending.

  • Assisting with domestic and international accounting operations and supporting the close process to issue timely and accurate financial statements.

  • Providing guidance, review, and support to junior accounting staff, fostering continuous learning and team development.

The team you will be joining:

Finance helps guide financial decisions with analytics, performance management, forecasting, insights and financial modeling. A business is only as strong as those keeping a close eye on the bottom line and our Finance team not only keeps the books, but also manages to help explain what all those numbers mean at our monthly company meetings to make sure the whole organization is up to speed on where we stand. If you love complex problem-solving in an international environment and engaging with all departments of the business, this might be your home.
