Full Stack Developer - Onsite

Job Duties

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Full Stack Developer for a 12+ month contract position with a Leading Consumer Electronics Retailer located in Richfield, MN.

Compensation: $81.00 - $95.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:

This is a Software Engineering position within the merchandising domain, focusing on financial systems. The team is committed to agile engineering practices, code simplicity, and high quality, with members contributing to all aspects of software development and delivery. This role will support and maintain existing mission-critical legacy systems while also building their replacements with distributed, scalable, custom applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to all aspects of software development and delivery

Support and maintain a collection of existing legacy systems

Develop distributed, scalable, custom applications to replace legacy systems

Work in a collaborative, flexible team environment

Primary Requirements:

7+ years of experience

Fluent in a JVM based language (Java, Groovy, etc.)

Fluent in Test Driven Development

Strong willingness to pair program

Desired Skills:

Service development (REST, HTTP, JSON)

Spring Framework

Data stores (Postgres, Oracle)

Kafka

Linux/bash proficiency

Open source software (Apache, Tomcat, etc.)

React (or other Javascript single page app frameworks)

BigQuery

Highly collaborative and enjoys working with others to solve problems

Enthusiastic and excited about technology

Flexible, dependable and know how to have fun while getting a lot done
