Job Description

Insight Global is looking for Pharmacology Associates in Groton, CT. This person will spend the majority of their time supporting preclinical research studies by preparing reagents, conducting in vivo experiments, handling and dosing animals, collecting study data, and analyzing results. They will collaborate closely with scientists and research teams to evaluate drug efficacy, maintain laboratory equipment, assist with study protocols, and communicate findings during team meetings. The role requires a strong balance of hands-on laboratory work, data analysis, and teamwork to help advance drug discovery and development programs.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors' or Masters Degree in a scientific discipline such as Pharmacology, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Animal Science, or a related field. Experience working in laboratory and vivarium environments, including support of in vivo research activities. Hands-on experience with rodent handling and basic preclinical research procedures. Ability to work with large animal models, including canines and non-human primates, as needed for research programs. Strong technical aptitude and interest in learning new laboratory methodologies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel. Demonstrated proficiency in animal handling, restraint, dosing, and biospecimen collection across rodents, canines, and/or non-human primates. Experience supporting metabolic disease, obesity, cardiovascular disease, or related therapeutic areas. Prior pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or industry research experience. Familiarity with GraphPad Prism or similar scientific data analysis software. Experience supporting large-scale preclinical studies.
