Position Details: The Hospital of Central Connecticut is hiring a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the General Surgery team, which covers a wide variety of subspecialties. The successful candidate will be responsible for various functions including first assisting in the OR, admissions, discharges, rounding, bedside procedures, and surgery consults. APPs will work in collaboration with several surgeons. The service currently covers General Surgery, Thoracic, Vascular, ENT, Colorectal, Urology, Breast, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology and Plastic Surgery. While compensation is presented as an hourly rate for consistency across our postings, this position is paid on a salary basis. The hiring range reflects a good faith estimate of pay for this position as of the posting date. Actual pay will be determined based on qualifications, location, internal equity, and other factors that may include hire bonuses, incentive pay plans, loan repayment, administrative stipends, or relocation.
