Job Description

The Account Operations Supervisor will serve as the quarterback of the shift, leading the Account Operations Coordinator team and ensuring customer freight is planned accurately and efficiently from initial request through booking. This person will oversee daily planning by coordinating bookings from warehouses, evaluating available truck capacity, and identifying opportunities to consolidate loads to maximize truck utilization and prevent unnecessary freight spend. They will monitor account performance against established SLAs and KPIs, proactively identifying service gaps, aging exceptions, or potential customer issues and driving them through resolution. The Supervisor will also act as an escalation point for the team and customer, ensuring coordinators have clear direction, communication remains consistent, and operational issues are routed to the appropriate teams. This individual will be a hands-on, go-getter leader who understands transportation operations, can make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment, and continuously looks for ways to improve planning and overall account performance.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of logistics, transportation, freight, 3PL, or supply chain operations experience, with demonstrated experience leading or overseeing others

Strong transportation planning and load optimization experience, including the ability to evaluate bookings, truck utilization, routing, and consolidation opportunities

Experience working against and monitoring SLAs, KPIs, and operational performance metrics, with the ability to identify gaps and drive corrective action

Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to quarterback a shift, prioritize competing operational needs, manage escalations, and hold a team accountable

Excellent customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive, go-getter mentality Experience with TMS platforms and operational reporting tools, particularly e2open TMF, Descartes Aljex, Power BI, or similar systems

Experience supporting a high-volume, strategic, or high-value logistics account and identifying continuous improvement opportunities around planning, consolidation, and operational processes
