Location: On site in Hawaii
Position Summary:
Tidal Basin seeks a competent Operations Lead to support disaster recovery programs. The position will assist in one or more programs that provide temporary sheltering and meals to residents impacted by recent disasters. This position represents an exceptional opportunity to join an expert team to facilitate change and help make a lasting difference.
This role involves coordinating hotel lodging and meal delivery services across island to ensure the well-being and comfort of individuals and families displaced by disasters. The objective of the Operations Lead is to support the Project Manager, the onsite Operations Manager and onsite Hotel Teams in the engagement with hotels and meal vendors, tracking survivors, and ensuring smooth workflow delivery. The Operations Lead will also ensure compliance with program policies and procedures, state and federal law, and effectively communicate these policies to the program staff and other stakeholders.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Support in policy creation and development, program compliance, outreach, and work effectively as part of a team to provide expert services. Specific duties may include:

Support the Operations Manager in managing all hotel and meal vendor activities

Ensure compliance with program policies and federal and state law
-
Maintain tracking and reporting data on all vendors
-
Monitor and evaluate the quality of services provided, addressing any issues promptly.

Provide expert technical assistance on policies, principles, and standard operating procedures related to the program.

Provide technical assistance to program staff and partners, ensuring smooth operation of service delivery systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the program’s implementation.

Ensure absolute confidentiality of work-related issues and uphold data integrity policies.

Meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Competencies:

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Ability to work independently and pro-actively identify key steps to complete requested client outcomes.

Excellent understanding of local, state, and federal government structure

Experience working with federal grant-funded programs
Required Education and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; AND,
-
5+ years in case management, financial management, accounting, application processing, grant-funded or government programs or related fields

Proficient in MS Office Suite
-
Experience with federally funded housing programs a plus
Range of Pay: $55/hr to $60/hr
