Required Skills

  • Ensuring relevant information is communicated to inside and outside sales staff regarding their orders and that pertinent data is relayed back to factory personnel for the continual build of product

  • Ensuring every job ships complete to include buy-outs, steel, refrigeration units; also responsible for coordinating with other departments and vendors to ensure peripheral equipment arrives at the job site in concert with manufactured panels

  • Maintaining complete and accurate information on production schedule and reports

  • Planning and scheduling production activities by sequencing customer demand through individual work centers to maximize throughput

  • Representing company management by developing relationships with the customer’s purchasing, design, and construction departments

  • Working with customers and their logistic carriers to schedule shipments

  • Analyzing work flow and aggressively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement projects to maximize the use of manpower and equipment

  • Assisting team members with problem resolution to ensure optimal levels of customer satisfaction

  • Ensuring all build requests are assessed and that work with plant management creates the most effective and efficient build schedule possible

  • Ensuring accurate, timely procurement and coordination of buyouts for customer orders

  • Ensuring reporting systems provide effective and timely communications to management, project associates, inter-company department staff, and external customers

  • Developing and maintaining capacity for all production resources, including establishing guidelines for production orders to provide schedule balance and constraint resolution

  • Assisting in the reallocation of material not specifically linked to production orders and managing the excess and obsolete inventory as well as disposition of returns

  • Creating and maintaining job instructions for all Production Control work processes and ensuring Production Schedulers are cross-trained in all work processes

Required Experience

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or similar field preferred

  • 2-5 years of experience in logistics, planning, manufacturing, or CSI-10

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of production planners

  • Make informed decisions based on a thorough analysis of data and key performance indicators

  • Identify and nurture talent within the team, providing opportunities for professional growth

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team regarding production-related decisions

  • Intermediate ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word, Outlook, and Excel

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

  • Detail-oriented and organized
