Summary

This position is located at: NAF Support Services - Fort Riley, Kansas. As part of the Marketing team, you will secure vital business partnerships, leveraging your sales and networking expertise to directly support and enhance our MWR community programs and services. IN THIS POSITION YOU MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A PERFORMANCE INCENTIVE, BASED ON THE TOTAL REVENUE GENERATED.

Duties

  • Serves as a sales and account management executive. Prospects for new clients through a variety of sources and sales leads utilizing the Internet, trade publications, competitive sources and trade shows.
  • Develops proposals and evaluation criteria, and negotiates sponsorship and advertising agreements.
  • Coordinates closely with local level counterparts and officials of other agencies or components to execute agreements. Obtains legal counseling as necessary.
  • Acts as account manager for clients to ensure that benefits are executed and terms of agreement are met. Attends related board, committee, and special event planning meetings.
  • Provides expert advice and assistance that includes training. Makes presentations, writes, and performs public relations duties.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience that demonstrates proven ability and experience in sales, negotiations, account management, or client care. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing. Highly preferred candidates will be referred to management first. In addition to meeting the above minimum qualifications, highly preferred is defined as also meeting at least one of the criteria listed below: A bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, business, or similar field. At least 2 years experience in sales. Experience in bookkeeping with funds such as tracking all Commercial Sponsorship and Advertising (CS&A) dollars received and spent throughout the fiscal year. Working knowledge of the military and MWR community. Experience must be clearly stated in resume, and education documents (if applicable) must be uploaded at time of application to be considered for highly preferred qualification.
