Job Description

The Material Value Stream Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end materials flow to ensure optimal inventory levels, supplier performance, and production continuity. This role drives alignment between demand planning, procurement, production scheduling, and logistics to enable lean operations, cost efficiency, and high service levels.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee demand planning, supply planning, and productionscheduling processes.

  • Ensure material availability to support productionwhile minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.

  • Monitor and improve KPI’s.

  • Collaborate with sourcing teams to ensure supplier performance meets quality, cost, and delivery expectations.

  • Drive supplieraccountability and resolve escalationsimpactingproduction continuity.

  • Lead cycle count programs, inventory accuracyinitiatives, and root cause analysis for variances.

  • Championlean, six sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Identifybottlenecks and inefficienciesin material flow and implement corrective actions.

  • Act as the primary liaison between manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and customer-facing teams.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.

  • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.

  • Experience with demand planning and inventory optimization tools

  • Proficiencyin data analysis

  • Excellent communicationskills

  • Demonstratedproficiencyin time and project management
