Job Description Hybrid: This position requires you to work on-site 3 times a week (Tue to Thu)

Role Overview

  • Represent purchasing activities within the program team and represent the program team within Purchasing.

  • Build and lead an effective team of buyers and planners for Project Purchasing and Launch Leadership.

  • Partner with Program Managers to represent Purchasing and communicate program requirements and the vehicle line overview.

Responsibilities

  • Represent purchasing activities within the program team and represent the program team within Purchasing.

  • Build and lead an effective team of buyers and planners for Project Purchasing and Launch Leadership.

  • Partner with Program Managers to represent Purchasing and communicate program requirements and the vehicle line overview.

Mandatory Competencies

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments, both internally and externally, while building strong relationships.

  • Experience with commodities such as metals, stamped parts, castings, plastics, resins, paints, and electronics.

  • Experience handling commercial issues with suppliers and evaluating supplier performance.

  • Proven negotiation skills.

  • Professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Advanced English proficiency.

Desirable Competencies

  • Experience in the automotive industry.

  • Knowledge of procurement software.

  • Knowledge of materials management.

  • Ability to interpret market data.

  • Ability to read drawings and understand basic engineering documents.

  • Strong knowledge of contract law and its application to purchasing processes.

  • Spanish proficiency.
