PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Electronic Design Engineer, in Fort Worth, TX.

Job Description:

  • Assist with the development, design, testing and certification documentation for new or modified printed circuit board modules for aircraft

  • Apply electrical engineering theory and the operation of electronic test equipment to test and troubleshoot avionics / electrical modules or systems

  • Model and simulate electronic circuits using SPICE software

  • Design printed circuit board layouts using Altium design software

  • Modify and maintain programmable logic designs in FPGAs and CPLDs

  • Prepare engineering certification reports to document system designs that meet the requirements of certification authorities

  • Prepare functional test documents to verify proper operation of electronic assemblies

Skills/Experience:

  • Proficient in analog and digital circuit design

  • Software programing experience with C programming language

  • Desired knowledge of control systems and embedded processor design

  • Design Experience with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) and Verilog or VHDL

  • Familiarity with the application of aerospace standards (DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461) or similar industry standards.

  • At least 2 years of experience in Electronics Engineering or related field

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree with a Major in Electrical Engineering.

  • Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.

  • Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
