Full job description

Accounting Supervisor About the Role The role involves managing full-cycle general ledger accounting for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal policies. This newly created position will be on a fast track for additional leadership opportunities in a short period of time with the continued growth of the company. Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle general ledger accounting for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal policies.

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.

  • Monitor and reconcile Canadian transactions.

  • Maintain and reconcile intercompany accounts across U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries.

  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring completeness and accuracy of reporting for both domestic and international entities.

  • Lead and mentor staff GL accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Assist external auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation and support.

  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in GL operations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Maintain documentation of accounting policies and procedures, especially those related to foreign currency and multi-entity operations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.

  • Experience with general ledger accounting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a multi-entity environment.

  • Familiarity with foreign currency transactions.
