Full job description

Accounting Supervisor About the Role The role involves managing full-cycle general ledger accounting for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal policies. This newly created position will be on a fast track for additional leadership opportunities in a short period of time with the continued growth of the company. Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle general ledger accounting for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Monitor and reconcile Canadian transactions.
Maintain and reconcile intercompany accounts across U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries.
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring completeness and accuracy of reporting for both domestic and international entities.
Lead and mentor staff GL accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
Assist external auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in GL operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Maintain documentation of accounting policies and procedures, especially those related to foreign currency and multi-entity operations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Required Skills
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
Experience with general ledger accounting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred Skills
Experience in a multi-entity environment.
Familiarity with foreign currency transactions.
