JOB SUMMARY

The FLEX Director, Technology Ecosystem Change Communications, is responsible for developing and executing enterprise change, transformation and stakeholder communications strategies that support Marriott’s technology ecosystem and digital transformation initiatives. This leader drives awareness, readiness, adoption and sustained proficiency across hotel operations through strategic communications, change management methodologies, executive engagement and stakeholder alignment.

The Director's primary focus is to establish and manage a comprehensive communications strategy for enterprise technology releases, including communications related to new functionality, product enhancements, platform modernization efforts, release cycles and technology transformation initiatives.

The FLEX Director, Technology Ecosystem Change Communications serves as a strategic advisor to business, product, engineering, deployment and training stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear, user-focused communications that accelerate adoption, mitigate risk and support organizational change. This position regularly interacts with senior leaders and serves as a critical liaison between technology delivery teams and hotel operations.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required

  • 8-10+ years’ experience in communications, change management, transformation communications or corporate communications – ideally in a high-paced, reactive environment leading large-scale technology systems deployments – demonstrating a pattern of exceptional performance AND a Bachelor’s from an accredited university in Communications or related major OR 12+ years of total relevant professional experience in related function, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.

  • Experience developing communications strategies and managing editorial processes for enterprise transformation, technology modernization or organizational change initiatives across global audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop clear, concise and logically written business communications when faced with complexity and ambiguity as well as using exceptional written and oral communication skills to deliver recommendations effectively to key stakeholders and demanding audiences.

Preferred

  • Experience leading global teams and aligning communications priorities across continents.

  • Proficiency with communications and project management tools including Marketing Cloud, Salesforce and Monday.com.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Lead the communications strategy and execution for associate-facing technology releases and enhancements.

  • Establish and oversee an integrated release editorial calendar across technology platforms and products.

  • Serve as the primary release communications partner for product, engineering and deployment teams.

  • Develop scalable communication frameworks and tools that support technology adoption and operational readiness.

  • Develop executive messaging, presentations, talking points and leadership communications for transformational initiatives.

  • Ensure release communications are clear, actionable, audience-specific and aligned across channels.

  • Drive continuous improvement of communications tools, governance, standards and measurement practices.

  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with continent and discipline stakeholders to ensure communications are locally relevant and operationally effective.

  • Monitor communication effectiveness and adoption outcomes, using insights and feedback to improve future communications.
