Job Title: VTC Technician

Location: Richmond, VA or Fort Belvoir, VA or Columbus, OH (on site at either location)

Clearance: Top Secret

Certifications: CCNA and CompTIA Security+

Summary: BEAT is seeking a motivated VTC Technician to support critical communications and collaboration services. The successful candidate will have experience with video teleconferencing technologies, strong customer service skills, and a background supporting government or DoD environments. This position requires on-site support and close collaboration with end users and technical teams

Requirements:

  • Serve as the Video Teleconference (VTC) Lead, providing day-to-day guidance and support to VTC Administrators.

  • Oversee VTC operations and ensure timely resolution of service issues and customer requests.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for SBC/CUBE and E911 operational support and issue coordination.

  • Monitor system performance, validate troubleshooting efforts, and ensure issues are properly documented and escalated when needed.

  • Coordinate with engineering teams to support maintenance, testing, and service improvements.

  • Review operational activities to ensure compliance with established procedures and security requirements.

  • Maintain system health, service availability, and operational readiness across VTC environments.

  • Prepare operational reports, track performance metrics, and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Support audits, policy compliance efforts, and quality assurance initiatives.

  • Provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior VTC personnel.

  • Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and support change management activities.

  • Serve as the decision-maker for VTC services and customer support activities.
