In the role of Lead Usability Engineer in the Regulatory Operations department, you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer. You will take a leading role in ensuring our hearing devices meet high applicable usability and regulatory standards.
The Team you will be part of:
You will join a team of specialists in Post-Market Surveillance, Vigilance, and Usability Engineering team within GN Hearing A/S. The role reports to our Manager, Regulatory Product Surveillance.
It is a collaborative, quality-driven team, solving complex regulatory challenges and delivering compliant, user-centered products to people with hearing loss. We are committed, supportive, and currently maturing our usability engineering framework to meet an exciting product roadmap, and we are looking for someone who wants to help lead that journey.
Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

Drive regulatory product compliance in usability engineering for new product development

Establish, maintain, and continuously improve robust usability engineering processes and documentation across the product lifecycle

Act as lead usability specialist and subject-matter expert

Support regulatory submissions, audits and authority responses related to usability and human factors engineering
To perform well in the role, we imagine that you:

Hold a relevant academic background in engineering, or a related field
-
Bring solid direct experience in usability engineering within a medical device environment, with working knowledge of IEC 62366 and/or FDA Human Factors Engineering guidance

Experience in usability engineering for complex and technologically advanced medical devices

Are a confident, credible and approachable communicator who can engage and influence stakeholders with varying levels of regulatory and usability knowledge

Have interest in driving and promoting improvement initiatives and sharing knowledge with peers
-
Communicate clearly and credibly in English (proficient, written and spoken), engage stakeholders, work well with others, and align on quality outcomes
