Job Title: Credentialing Specialist Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: Monday-Friday, day shift Location: Germantown Hospital
Position Purpose Coordinates and supports the Medical Staff's credentialing process, including supporting Trinity Health CPI with the processing of new applications, reappointment applications, requests for change of status, End of Provisional reviews and proctoring of new medical staff members. Assists in the development, planning and operational management of the credentialing/privilege delineation and reappointment program to ensure the program's integrity. Provides general administrative support to the organized Medical Staff.
As a Credentialing Specialist, you will:

Coordinate and facilitate formal and informal credentialing peer review/recommendation processes per established policies and procedures. Initiate information collection, verification and documentation process for appointment/ reappointment per established policies and procedures.

Handle cognitive analysis of all information received, evaluating adequacy and quality and pursues additional information if necessary for effective and comprehensive peer review decision-making. by Medical Staff officers, department and subsection chairs

Communicate relevant information regarding appointment/reappointment/clinical privileges to applicant and appropriate Hospital personnel.

Protect the highly confidential nature of Medical Staff proceedings/actions, and sensitive Medical Staff information including credentialing information, patient materials related to peer review, quality assurance and economic consequences of physician behavior.

Responsible for selected and confidential correspondence and special projects as requested by the chairs of departments/committees, medical staff officers, department director or Vice President for Medical Affairs. Organize Medical Staff events.
Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree require. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
Pay Range:
-
$25.35 - $39.32
-
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
