Job Description
BEUMER Corporation seeks a Controls Engineer in Somerset, NJ to design and program machine control for all types of BEUMER sortation machines, high speed loop sorters and line sorters. Requirements: At a minimum, a U.S. Bachelor's degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or the foreign degree equivalent; 2 years’ experience in the job offered or a related occupation; experience designing, developing, testing, and commissioning PLC and HMI based automation systems using platforms such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, or B&R in industrial or manufacturing environments; experience working with industrial automation hardware including sensors, actuators, servos, drives, HMIs, control panels, and safety related control systems; experience developing, reviewing, and maintaining automation documentation, including control logic, electrical schematics, I/O lists, control architecture, and functional design specifications; experience troubleshooting and optimizing automated equipment and control systems, leveraging diagnostic tools, software, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., PROFINET, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, Modbus); experience supporting system integration and lifecycle activities, collaborating with cross functional engineering teams, vendors, and customers through installation, startup, and ongoing system support. Applicants must also be willing to travel domestically up to visit client sites up to 25% of the work schedule. Salary: $124,655/yr. Eligible for discretionary annual bonus.
