Job Description
A client of Insight Global is a prominent family-owned property management company seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist. You will be an important accounting team member, reporting directly to the Controller. This is ideal for someone who thrives in a dedicated, highly efficient environment. If you are a goal-oriented person with strong problem-solving skills this is the job for you! Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and post journal entries as need.
- Daily cash management - recording cash receipts and analyzing cash balances
- Reconcile bank accounts.
- Assist Property Managers and vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
- Assist Accounts Payable with coding invoices
- Handle month end closing process
- Assist the Controller with the year-end audits
Skills and Requirements
2+ years of experience in property accounting or general accounting. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Prompt and dependable Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Familiarity with HR processes and employment regulations is a plus. Experience in real estate, property management accounting
