The Human Resources Generalist is an important member of the Lake Region Healthcare HR team, supporting a wide variety of human resources functions and helping create a positive, responsive experience for our employees and leaders.
This is a dynamic role for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and thrives in a fast-paced, person-centered environment. From onboarding new employees and supporting leave management, to coordinating employee health requirements, workers’ compensation, HRIS transactions, benefits, compliance, and special projects, you'll have the opportunity to make an impact across the entire employee experience.
As a trusted resource to prospective and current employees, leaders, and the HR team, you'll be someone others can count on for accurate information, timely follow-through, professionalism, and discretion. Successful candidates are collaborative, believe in taking ownership, sharing ideas, solving problems and continuously looking for ways to make things better.
Duties include but are not limited to:

Support day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and HRIS transactions.

Coordinate employee health compliance, workers’ compensation, OSHA recordkeeping, and return-to-work processes.

Provide administrative support for FMLA, Minnesota Paid Leave, disability, and other leave programs.

Assist with benefits, payroll-related HR data, reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.

Support employee communications, engagement initiatives, HR projects, and process improvements.

Serve as a trusted resource to employees and leaders while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and excellent customer service.
Hours/Shifts
80 hours biweekly, shifts from 8am-4:30pm, Monday – Friday. This position is primarily on-site at our Business Services Center and on occasion may be required to work outside normal office hours or location.
Compensation
Wage Range: $27.64-$35.48/hour. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.

Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.

Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Two or more years of experience in human resources, healthcare administration, employee health administration, workers’ compensation, leave administration, or a related administrative role preferred.

Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
