Marana Detention Center | Marana, AZ

$34.97 per hour | Full-time

Responsible for the facility fire, safety and risk management programs in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives.

What you will do

  • Develop and manage programs to ensure compliance with local, state and federal safety regulations.

  • Ensure adequate fire protection services are provided and available to the facility.

  • Perform, arrange and coordinate fire inspections and testing of equipment on a frequent, scheduled basis.

  • Arrange and coordinate annual inspections by local or state fire officials or other qualified person or entity.

  • Ensure availability of fire hoses or extinguishers at appropriate locations throughout the facility.

  • Maintain up to date inspections of fire extinguishers and all safety devices.

  • Establish, manage, and monitor safety training programs for facility staff members and detainees on the facility.

  • Develop and maintain a system for reviewing and compliance with safety and fire prevention standards and training.

  • Establish and coordinate monthly safety committee meetings within specified requirements of company policy or established facility policy.

  • Conduct accident review committees following all accidents.

What you will need

  • High school diploma or GED, one (1) year experience in risk management, loss control, worker’s compensation, occupational safety or related field

  • US Citizenship or Lawful US Permanent Resident required.

  • Bachelor's degree strongly desired.

  • Must successfully complete required preservice training.

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
